The saying is true: Time does really fly when you are having fun.

(updated later on in the day)
As noted by B in the Comments Section:
We celebrated 29 Years together.
I love my husband very much.
Thank you; it has been a wonderful ride.
I am looking forward to many more years together!

Our neighbors will celebrate 58 years together on February 14.
Congratulations to the Behnings!

This past month has been busy, hectic, delightful, and of course, fun.
We've been to the San Francisco area and ate some great seafood,
walked along the ocean and saw a crow playing in flight,
visited with family and ate more great food,
went to the Sacramento Temple,
B rode 125 miles from Davis to Calistoga and back,
sewed three table toppers,
and watched some fun basketball games.
We've watched some more ballgames here in town,
been to Phoenix to another game,
driven to Beaver via Beryl (now that was interesting),
and had a bunch of doggie mishaps.
The dogs went to Doggie Disneyland
(thanks AJ for watching them)
and have been on some incredible walks
(just ask DB about what it was like down by the river),
they've had at least 4 baths in a week
(the last one with tomato juice as a result of being skunked),
and Buster broke a nail
(lots of blood -- not with too much damage)
and got his winter trim.
We've gotten the yard ready for spring
(pre-emergent, fertilizer, aerated, clean up, roses trimmed, etc),
and have finally cleaned the garage
and now all the vehicles can park inside of it!
And those are the things I can remember.

Because I forget a lot of things, too. (Sorry Bear Cubs)

Books I read this month:
Empire of the Summer Moon by S. C. Gwynne
The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith
Tears of the Giraffe by Alexander McCall Smith

In the spirit of creativity,
I designed a table topper
by using combined methods from other quilts I have previously made.

Picture will be posted soon.

  1. Into the Wild was our BHU bookclub book. Have I ever told you that you're an incredible reader? I hope someday I can grow up and be just like you. Love you.

  2. That crow was one of the most amazing things I've seen. He (or she) would let out a caw, flip upside down, dive while inverted, roll back upright, climb a little, then repeat the sequence. He was clearly playing and having fun. We saw him do this over and over, at least 6 or 7 times in succession.

It's been a fun month. We also celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary, remember!
