Well, now, it has been a while.
I have been trying to read some good books
so I could write about them,
but it has been slim pickings.
I've read a whole bunch of books
but there aren't many worth mentioning.
Really.
The List:
The Weight of Heaven by Thrity Umigar
The Space Between Us by Thrity Umigar
The Scarlet Pimpernel by Baroness Orczy . . . an oldie but a goodie
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens . . . always good to read
Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri . . . short stories/some good some not
The Professor's House by Willa Cather . . . expected more
Every Last One by Anna Quindlan
The Virgin of Small Plains by Nancy Pickard
The Long Walk by Slavomir Rawicz . . . BBC researched/not sure if it really happened
There have been others
but again, none worth really mentioning.
I re-read The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
and found it interesting even when I remembered the outcome.
— Anatole Broyard
I see where Donovan gets his book reading gene.
ReplyDeleteI'm always so proud of you when you post all the books you've read and secretly hope that someday I can be as cool as you :)
